I'll begin by quoting Wizard's article "The Swedish Scene - A Shadow Of It's Past..." in Raw 8; "I surely hope this is just a temporary setback for the swedish demo-scene. But right now it looks like the demo-scene in Sweden is no more than a sweet memory. The bigmouthed people with no talents whatsoever have taken over!"
Is Wizard really right when he states that? Well, a time ago, when he wrote that article, I can admit that he was nothing but right. But lately, some talents have started to grew. I think of groups like C-Lous, Three Little Elks, Craze, The Black Lotus, Sardonyx and so on... But still we have a long path in front of us. This party (TP5) have been some sort of a try to step a couple of steps up on the stair to our quality from the old days. Have we managed?
Well, I'm not so happy to say that the Swedish quality have been better as I thought I would be. That depends on the fact that the other countries quality have been worse. Sure, we have become better than before with demos like those of Three Little Elks, The Black Lotus and Rage. C-Lous is a more or less established group by now and they are still going strong though they didn't release any demo at The Party. This mag should be enough to prove their quality.
The Swedish scene is on it's way up but the scene in general is on it's way down.
